Privacy policy

What we collect
- Account: your email address.
- Learning data: your progress, scores, notes, ticked tasks, reflections, and chosen path, stored against your account only.
- What you type into AI features: your lesson answers and your questions to Pip are sent to Anthropic to produce a reply. We do not store the text of your chats or answers, only your scores and progress.
- Usage records: which AI feature you used, how many tokens, and what it cost (to enforce the fair-use allowance), plus simple first-party events such as which lesson you opened. No advertising trackers.
- Payments: Stripe handles your card details. We store your Stripe customer ID and the purchase record.
- Hosting logs: our hosting provider may log standard request data such as IP addresses.
Who processes your data
Anthropic (AI), Stripe (payments), our email provider (sign-in codes), and our hosting provider. We do not sell your data.
Cookies
Only essential cookies. One keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
Skillyard is meant for adults. A parent or guardian can use it with a child on their own account (the Explorer path). Please do not type a child's full name, address, school, or passwords into any AI feature. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 and will delete it if we learn we have.
Your choices
On the Account page you can download all your data or delete your account. Deleting removes your progress, notes, and sign-in sessions. We keep purchase records as long as tax law requires, and anonymous usage totals. Deleted data can remain in our automatic backups for up to about a week.
Security
Each person's data is separated by account, sessions use HTTP-only cookies, and sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes. No system is perfectly secure: if you find a problem, tell us at support@learnskillyard.com.
