Practice, not lectures
Every lesson is a real task. You write something, see how it scores, and try again. There are no videos to sit through.
Hands-on lessons for Claude
27 short, graded lessons over 5 days. You write the prompt, the plan, or the brief. An AI coach tells you what worked and what to fix. A tutor answers your questions.
Free preview: setup guide, the Atlas, and Lesson 1. No card needed.
An independent course. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.
Example of the feedback you get
Worked: You named the audience and the goal.
Fix next: Add a word limit and ask for three subject lines.
Every lesson is a real task. You write something, see how it scores, and try again. There are no videos to sit through.
Your attempt is scored against clear goals, with what worked and what to fix next. Different approaches get fair credit when they work.
Ask questions inside any lesson. Pip is built to give hints instead of handing over answers, and to stay on the lesson.
Examples for Anyone, Developer or QA, Creator, Finance, and Marketing. There is also an Explorer path for a child learning with a grown-up.
Each day ends with a task of about 25 minutes on your own work, using your own Claude account, so the skill sticks.
Also included: a setup guide for Mac, Windows, and phone, and the Atlas, a reference of what Claude can do, with links to Anthropic's own documentation. The setup guide and the Atlas were last checked against Anthropic's pages on Oct 11, 2026.
29 activities over 5 days, about 7 hours including setup. Lesson 1 (Rescue the lazy prompt) is free.
You learn what every good request has, how to teach by example, how to ask for the exact shape you need, how to steer a draft, and how to catch a wrong answer.
You turn rules you keep repeating into a note and a skill that Claude actually uses, and learn to carry a long chat into a fresh one.
You get sourced answers, ask files the right question, plan before acting, split big jobs into steps, and build small tools.
You decide what to hand over, give tools the smallest key, protect privacy, and defend against hidden instructions.
You write project rules and guardrails for coding agents, test your prompts, debug an agent brief, pick the right power tool, and design a workflow of your own.
Next to the free courses. Anthropic publishes free courses, including Claude 101, AI Fluency, and Claude Code in Action. They are good and they cost nothing. Skillyard adds graded practice on your own writing, a tutor, and day tasks. If you only want to read and watch, start with theirs.

You unlock the full course from inside the app after you sign in. Payments are handled by Stripe. All sales are final, so please try the free preview first. You get full access for 3 months from the day you pay. It does not renew by itself and we never charge you again unless you choose to. Your progress stays on your account afterwards. The AI allowance is a fair-use limit (roughly ten times what a typical learner uses) so the service stays affordable.
The graded lessons and Pip run inside Skillyard, so you can start without one. The setup guide helps you create an account, and the day tasks use your own account so you practice on real work.
Claude reads your attempt against the goal of the lesson and scores it from 0 to 100, with what worked and what to fix. AI feedback can be wrong, so you can retry any lesson. We check the grader and the tutor against a fixed set of tricky cases, including whether the tutor gives answers away, and we re-run those checks when we change them.
About 7 hours of lessons including setup, plus about 25 minutes of day tasks per day. Most people go one day at a time. There is no deadline.
Claude changes often. The Atlas and setup guide show the date they were last checked against Anthropic's own pages, and they link to the official documentation so you can confirm anything yourself.
We store your email, progress, scores, and notes so you can pick up on any device. What you type into lessons and to Pip is sent to Anthropic to produce a reply and is not saved on our servers. You can download or delete everything from the Account page. See the privacy policy.
The Explorer path is designed for a child learning with a grown-up, on the grown-up's account. Please do not type a child's full name, address, or school into any AI tool.
One payment gives you full access for 3 months from the day you pay. That is plenty: the course is 5 days of lessons plus real-life tasks, and most people finish in a week or two. It does not renew automatically.
Your account and everything you saved stay. The free preview stays open, and the paid lessons and AI feedback lock until you buy access again. You can buy again during the last 14 days, and the new period is added to the end of the old one. You can also download all your data from the Account page at any time.
No. Each period of access includes a fair-use AI allowance, about ten times what a typical learner uses to finish the whole course, so normal use never gets near it. If you ever reach it, every lesson stays open, but AI feedback and Pip pause. Email us and we will sort it out.
No. All sales are final, except where the law requires otherwise. That is why there is a free preview: try the setup guide, the Atlas, and Lesson 1 first. If something is broken, email us and we will fix it. See the terms.
