What is Claude, and what will you learn?

Claude is an AI assistant made by Anthropic. People use it to write, plan, research, and code. The difference between a vague answer and a useful one usually comes down to a few habits, and that is what the lessons practice: giving context, making a clear ask, setting constraints, and choosing a format.

How a lesson works

  1. Read the idea. A 30-second explanation in plain words.
  2. Try it. Work from a short scenario and the facts you are given.
  3. Get graded. A score, what worked, and the one thing to fix next.
  4. Ask or retry. Ask Pip for a hint, then improve your answer and go again.
  5. Earn the day's badge. Finish the day task on your own work to unlock it.

Questions

Do I need a Claude account?

The graded lessons and Pip run inside Skillyard, so you can start without one. The setup guide helps you create an account, and the day tasks use your own account so you practice on real work.

How is my work graded?

Claude reads your attempt against the goal of the lesson and scores it from 0 to 100, with what worked and what to fix. AI feedback can be wrong, so you can retry any lesson. We check the grader and the tutor against a fixed set of tricky cases, including whether the tutor gives answers away, and we re-run those checks when we change them.

How long does it take?

About 7 hours of lessons including setup, plus about 25 minutes of day tasks per day. Most people go one day at a time. There is no deadline.

Is Skillyard part of Anthropic?

No. Skillyard is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic.
